GALLEGOS WINES Chardonnay, Yountville, Napa Valley
WHY WE LOVE IT:
- 3rd Generation Mexican American winemaker
- 50+ year old vines from the Charmer Vineyard
- Consistently delightful crisp apple and tropical flavors through each vintage
- Laura’s favorite curated wine
WINEMAKER: Eric Gallegos (A Robert Parker rated winemaker)
WHAT WE TASTED: We taste these grapes regularly as we walk through the vineyard behind our home. Perfection. Opens with aromas of crisp apple, pear, mango and a hint of pineapple while those rich flavors continue coupled with crisp minerality and balanced acidity. Soft finish with notes of luxurious créme brûlée. Crisp, yet creamy with exhilarating character all around.

WHAT WE PAIRED:
- Creamy tagliatelle with (or without) bacon
- Polenta casserole with mushroom and Swiss chard
- Fish and chips
- Fresh young cheese plate including: mozzarella, goat, camembert and brie
