Day 2 Zagreb – After breakfast head towards Zagorje with private transfer. Enjoy a cultural tour of this region and lunch at wine tasting at a family-owned boutique winery. This region was not known for its wine until it started winning awards and now is Internationally recognized. (BL)
Day 4 Istra – Enjoy breakfast with your guide before heading for a full day tour of Istria – where ancient history, great local food, wine, olive oil and truffles await! Have lunch at a traditional Istrian farm, cooked and served by the farm owner. You will also participate in a cooking class. Overnight 1 night (BL)
Day 5 Plitvice Lakes – After breakfast check out of the hotel and head to Plitvice Lakes the oldest and larges National Park in Croatia. It is a Unesco World Heritage Site for almost 30 years. Spend the day enjoying the outdoors, waterfalls and take a short hike to see the incredible views Then continue onto Split for overnight (B)
Day 6 Split – After breakfast enjoy a walking tour of Old Town Split. This tour will highlight local customs and traditions related to food making. Enjoy some taste of local cuisine and take some time to do a little bit of shopping or just enjoy the architecture and history of the Dalmatian Life. Overnight 3 nights (BL)
Day 7 Split – Today will be your outdoor adventure day. You will have the choice to enjoy the river area with rafting, snorkeling, rope swings, toboggan slide, zip line, cliff jumping or just swimming in the crystal clear water. Enjoy lunch at the Cetina, a famous traditional restaurant. (BL)
Day 8 Hvar – This morning depart by ferry to the Island of Hvar. You will visit the best winery on the Island with a private tour and tasting of their homemade cheese, olive oil and bread. Wine making on the Island has been taking place for 2500 years. You will have free time late in the afternoon. Overnight 1 night (BLD)
Day 9 Hvar to Dubrovnik After breakfast take the ferry back to the mainland, then drive a scenic route to Dubrovnik. Along the way stop for lunch at a working Oyster Farm and savor fresh oysters paired with local wine. Continue to Dubrovnik. Overnight 3 nights (BL)
Day 10 Dubrovnik – After breakfast a private walking tour of Dubrovnik’s old town, Old Port, Onofrio’s Fountain, Cathedral, the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and Orlando’s Column. Some time on your own to explore before being dropped at the City Walls. (BD)
Day 11 Dubrovnik – Grand Wine Tour You will visit two family owned wineries with tastings at each. At one you will sample olive oil and the other homemade cheese and prosciutto. One winery has won gold medals at the New York International Olive Oil Competition two years running. You will also experience an aperitif tasting. (BLD)
Day 12 – Departure from hotel after breakfast. Transfers to the airport for your flights.
